Current condition: Ready to drink, will keep. The 2016 vintage of Bordeaux is widely considered to be excellent, even legendary. The winter was wet and one of the warmest ever recorded. The warm, humid conditions continued throughout spring, speeding up growth and prompting an early budburst. Tempera Redhawk, I suppose that's part of the equation. Taste ought to be one (of course the most important), but I've not had any of the top three.

Pomerol modnes hurtigere end vinene fra Medóc mod vest. Det skyldes, at størstedelen af druemosten er lavet på Merlot, som kræver kortere lagring end Cabernet Sauvignon , for at modnes. Vinene er altså hurtigere drikkemodne og kan generelt ikke lagre lige så godt som de Cabernet-dominerede vine.
